An evening marking the 200th anniversary of the laying of the first stone for the iconic Richmond Bridge, around which the community of Richmond grew and thrived.

The program will include my new composition 'Bridge', commissioned for the event and supported by Arts Tasmania; and a remount of 'mulaka milaythina', a collaborative work created with proud palawa woman Nunami Sculthorpe-Green for the Clarence Jazz Festival 2023 and supported by Festivals Australia.

Featuring numerous excellent Lutruwita musicians, notably award-winning vocalist Elly Hoyt, multi-wind instrumentalist Spike Mason and cross-genre violinist Charlie McCarthy.

Louise Denson is a Canadian-born, award-winning artist based in Hobart, Australia.

“The music speaks simultaneously to the heart, mind and body... Sit back and enjoy the inventive twists and turns of Denson’s melodies, her exquisite harmonic sense and her elegant soloing.”
- Dr. Sandy Evans, saxophonist/composer, OAM
