Last gig of the year

15/12/2018

It's been a big year, and it's a pleasure to be playing one last evening of quality big band music with my partners in musical crime in BCJO. We'll be premiering two more new arrangements that I've written for the dynamic and multi-talented Diana Tomie: Bolero for Wendy featuring bass clarinet, and Decir y hacer, a tango for alto saxophone. We're also reprising the third movement of Flora australiae, Bougainvillea glabra, in amongst classic and lesser known repertoire from the famous American big bands, and arrangements by Dave Cushman for band vocalist Ingrid James. Wishing you all a great holiday and health, happiness and success in 2019!
