EMO at Brisbane International Jazz Festival

Flora australiae, a 3 part work for saxophone soloist Diana Tolmie and the EMO jazz orchestra, will be premiered at the Brisbane International Jazz Festival on May 31, 2018. Diana Tolmie is a multi-instrumentalist who is well known for her musical excellence and versatility. The work uses iconic Australian flora as metaphors for human experience, taking the orchestra and the listener through different moods and experiences. A new work by Rafael Karlen featuring guitarist James Sherlock will also be on the program, as well as works by Laura Kahle, Josh Hatcher and Andrew Garton.
